Dragons Care Plan Update: August 31, 2020

Dear MSUM Students,

We are starting our second week of classes for Fall 2020 and it has been wonderful to see students on campus. You are doing the important work of helping to keep our Dragon Family safe by wearing masks, maintaining physical distancing, and washing your hands. Thank you! Today’s communication provides some important information about resources for you:

1)      Student Open Forum – September 2 at 6pm

We are hosting another Q&A session this week for all students. The session will be available via Zoom and on the University’s Facebook page on Wednesday, September 2 at 6:00 p.m. To participate on Zoom, follow this link: https://minnstate.zoom.us/j/91916871798

2)      Preparing for Labor Day Weekend

As we approach the long Labor Day weekend, we wanted to encourage you continue showing that Dragons Care whether you stay in Fargo-Moorhead or travel out of town.  Please continue to follow the same practices that are expected on campus, including:
·   Wear a mask when indoors
·   Wear a mask outdoors when physical distancing is not possible
·   Practice physical distancing
·   Wash your hands regularly
Also, please consider re-evaluating your plans if your destination has a high COVID infection rate.

3)      COVID Reports and Accommodations

In an effort to be as transparent as possible, we are sharing the number of positive COVID cases that have had contact with the MSUM campus on our Dragons Care website. You can find these reports, updated every weekday, at this link.

Remember to submit the Student COVID-19 Report Form if you are experiencing any of these situations:
a.       You are experiencing symptoms consistent with COVID-19 or
b.       You have been in close contact (within 6 feet for 15 or more minutes) with someone:
·   Who has tested positive for COVID-19
·   Who has tested positive for COVID-19
·   Who is experiencing symptoms consistent with COVID-19
·   Who is being tested for COVID-19

Request accommodations due to COVID through the COVID-Request for Accommodations Form.

Remember to check back frequently at the Dragons Care website for updates related to classes, housing, activities, and more. And, follow @MSUMoorhead on Instagram for the latest Q&A. Send your questions to DragonsCare@mnstate.edu.
