Artist In Color: a Recap & a Recording
On Tuesday, September 22, 2020, MSUM Student Life hosted Artists in Color as the first of a three-part series. The three panelists for the evening included Franklin Ugochukwu, Laurie Seifert, and Conor Lee; a combination of artists with a variety of creative talents. Artists in Color presented an opportunity to celebrate, share, and build upon the importance of experiencing art produced by creators that are black, indigenous and people of color (BIPOC).
Panelists and guests discussed a variety of topics, including navigating the business aspects of being an artist, the influence of 2020 events on the ideation and production of art, ways to foster creativity in young people, and their creative processes.
