MSUM, NDSU co-hosting virtual microbiology conference

Friday, Sept. 25 | 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

This year, faculty at North Dakota State University (NDSU) and Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM) are co-hosting the 80th Annual meeting of American Society for Microbiology’s North Central Branch. The conference will be held, virtually, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Central Time on Friday, Sept. 25, 2020. The branch will provide access to online sessions via Zoom and to our poster session through a combination of Padlet and Zoom. Register and submit your abstract here! Dr. Stanley Perlman of University of Iowa and Dr. Ed Dudley of Penn. State University have graciously accepted our invitations to be Keynote Speaker and ASM Distinguished Lecturer, respectively.

In addition to our renowned speakers, our agenda includes:
• Concurrent oral presentation sessions by students.
• A lunchtime career and networking session, including a career panel with Samatha Havron (Aldevron), Brenton Nesemeier (ND Department of Health), and Dr. Ed Dudley (Penn. State U.).
• An online poster session, powered by Padlet and Zoom.
• Prizes for the top three oral and poster presentations from graduate and undergraduate scientists (12 awards in total).
