MSUM Planetarium provides first-ever virtual field trip for area kindergarteners

The months of April and May are typically the busiest of the whole year for the MSUM Planetarium. With the pandemic, that has all changed. However, director, Sara Schultz, provided a mini virtual field trip for the dozens of Moorhead kindergarteners who would normally have been coming during their “Space Week.” This year, the field trip looked a little different, but that didn’t change the fun had by all. It was a great opportunity to serve the community even when we cannot be together. Schultz has been learning new approaches to serving the local community and others through social media and digital presence. Look for more from the MSUM Planetarium coming soon!
