Become a Safe Zone Peer Educator!
The Rainbow Dragon Center is recruiting students to serve as Safe Zone Peer Educators! The Safe Zone Program offers interactive trainings where participants learn about the LGBTQ+ community, how to create inclusive spaces, and advocate for LGBTQ+ justice and equality. Becoming a peer educator offers the following benefits:
- Be a changemaker and help create inclusive community at MSUM
- Learn more about LGBTQ identities, history, and current issues
- Build presentation and dialogue facilitation skills
- Be paid for your time and labor conducting Safe Zone Trainings
Students may be from any college or major and do not need to identity as part of the LGBTQ+ community to participate in the program. Those selected will be required to participate in a training before co-facilitating sessions with others. Time commitment is 10-15hrs per semester, depending on number of peer educators and campus interest.
Interested students can apply via the Safe Zone Peer Educator Form on DragonCentral. The deadline to apply is Friday, Feb. 21.
