Vacation donations for Janet Haak Brandau
Janet Haak Brandau is the Director of Study Abroad at Minnesota State
University Moorhead. She has been a Minnesota State employee for 29 years.
In 2014 Janet’s husband, Tom, was diagnosed with cancer (Tom is a 15-year employee of Minnesota State). His accelerating care needs have nearly
depleted her paid leave balances. In addition, she was diagnosed with cancer in November and requires multiple medical visits of her own. Janet has been approved for the Vacation Donation Program and would greatly appreciate any donations she would receive. Her retirement date is January 31, 2020, but she does not have enough paid leave to cover the time off she will need until then. If you would like to donate leave to Janet Haak Brandau:
Classified Staff:
Employees who are eligible to accrue vacation may donate up to 40 hours
of unused vacation each fiscal year.
• Login to Employee Self-Service: https://mn.gov/selfservice
• Click on “Other Payroll” then “Leave Donations”
• Click on “Input Your Leave Donations”
• Click on the magnifying glass next to “Reserve Bank” and choose Janet’s
name
• Enter the number of hours you wish to donate, and click the yellow “save”
box
Faculty, MSUAASF and Administrators:
Faculty may donate up to 3 personal days per fiscal year. Administrators and MSUAASF employees may donate vacation (up to 40 hours) and/or personal leave (up to 4 days). Please use the vacation donation program contribution form, and return to your Human Resources office. In part one of the form, please list #2 (continued salary) under program, Janet Haak Brandau as the recipient name, and the number of hours you wish to donate.
