MSUM’s Fuego Tropical World Music Ensemble Presents: “A Night of Heavy Metal: Steelbands and Gamelan!”

The MSUM Percussion Ensemble will present their fall 2019 concert with special guest artists “The Varying Degrees Trio” on Friday, Nov. 1st at 7:30 p.m. in Hansen Theatre. The concert will feature steel band music from Trinidad, gamelan music from Indonesia, and the world premiere of a new work for percussion trio and percussion ensemble written by Dr. Kenyon Williams to be performed at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention in Indianapolis entitled “Ice/Drum.” Tickets are available online and at the MSUM Box Office.
