Welcome to the #DragonFamily: John Green
Meet MSUM’s new assistant professor for Project Management, John Green. He can’t wait to see what his students will succeed at throughout the year!
Start date: August 26, 2019
Q: What drew you to MSUM?
A: The opportunity that was here closely aligned with my background in construction and engineering. I’ve been around construction most of my life, so it’s a really good fit and I enjoy teaching and working with students.
Q: What is one thing that surprised you about MSUM?
A: Overall, the professionalism of the administration and faculty — and the students here are great! There are many positives here — too many to mention.
Q: What unique experience or skills do you bring to MSUM?
A: I was in the construction and engineering industry for almost 30 years. I really enjoyed mentoring staff in industry during those years and always thought about getting into teaching. These are skills I can bring forward to teaching here at MSUM and working with students.
Q: What is your favorite binge-worthy show and why?
A: Forged in Fire, because I’m enthralled by the numerous contestants’ skill and art used on the show.
Q: If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
A: I would like to go to Greenland. My father was stationed there in the Air Force and he took many beautiful pictures. It’s on my bucket list.
Welcome to the #DragonFamily, John. We’re excited you are here!
