Short granted residency at Theano Point
Sherry Lee Short, Professor of Drawing and Illustration in the School of Art, has been granted the international The Wild artist residency at Theano Point, Ontario, Canada, June 2019. The Wild residency is located in a remote wilderness on the shores of Lake Superior. This will be Short’s third wilderness residency. In 2018, she was Artist-in-Residence at Isle Royale National Park (USA). In 2015, she was Artist-in-Residence in Michigan’s Porcupine Wilderness. The Wild residency is granted based on the merit of the project proposal and on the applicant’s proven experience in wilderness settings.
