Local high school students in Econ Challenge

Over 100 local high school students attended the 21st annual Great Plains Economics Challenge in the CMU on March 19, 2019. Winners of MSUM’s Challenge will advance to the state competition at the Minneapolis Federal Reserve bank and have the potential to advance all the way to NYC for the national final. The Center for Economic at MSUM hosts the challenge to allow students to demonstrate their economics skills. Professor Stutes, director of the center, says the challenge is more than economics. “It gives high schoolers a chance to chance to see our campus and gives the teachers, many who are MSUM grads, a reminder of the importance of higher education.”
