Feminist Book Club: ‘Thick’ by Tressie McMillan Cottom

Join us in the Women’s Center (Bridges 154) as we discuss “Thick: And Other Essays,” led by Dr. Kandace Creel Falcón of Women’s and Gender Studies.
This moving collection of essays by Black American feminist and professor Tressie McMillan Cottom touches on beauty, media, money and more. Dr. Cottom is Assistant Professor of sociology at Virginia Commonwealth University and author of several books, including “Lower Ed: The Troubling Rise of For Profit Colleges in the New Economy” (2018). “Thick” is her most recent book.
