On Monday, July 16, a ground breaking was held for the SE Main/20th Street/21st Street railroad underpass. The underpass project will result in improvements to safety and congestion for visitors, emergency response, vehicle, bicycle and pedestrian traffic.
The intersection is one of about 20 statewide diagonal at-grade railroad crossings. This is the largest transportation project in the history of Moorhead. The construction period will last approximately three years. During years one and two, the SE Main/20th Street/21st Street intersection will be closed to most traffic.
