NEW Leadership Northern Lights awarded two $5,000 grants

MSUM’s NEW Leadership Northern Lights program, coordinated by Deb White, Sociology, was recently awarded a $5,000 grant from West Central Initiative and a $5,000 grant from the FM Area Foundation Women’s Fund.

NEW Leadership Northern Lights provides leadership training, inspiration, and support for women who do not have extensive leadership experience. Each year, approximately 40 women are selected to participate in the five-day program aimed at promoting public and community leadership among women of diverse backgrounds who reside in the Upper Midwest.
