Kenyon Williams to Solo with FM Symphony this Weekend
Saturday, March 17 – Sunday, March 18 | 7:30 pm and 2 pm | NDSU’s Festival Concert Hall
Dr. Kenyon Williams, Professor of Music, will be the featured soloist this weekend for the Fargo Moorhead Symphony Orchestra’s “Sunny Getaway” concert event. Dr. Williams will solo on the steel pan, congas, timbales, and more, performing two selections: his own arrangement of Cal Tjader’s “Mambo Mindoro,” and his own original composition, “La Gresca” for orchestra and steelpan soloist. Concerts will take place Saturday evening at 7:30pm and Sunday at 2pm at NDSU’s Festival Concert Hall. $5 “student rush” tickets can be purchased at the door immediately prior to the performance, or tickets can be purchased online at http://www.fmsymphony.org/
