Thanks for supporting Make-A-Wish and Dragon Athletics’ SAAC

MSUM SAAC Make-A-Wish Night Raises Nearly $1,200

The Minnesota State University Moorhead’s Student-Activity Advisory Committee (SAAC) held its first Make-A-Wish night on Wednesday, and it was a success.

The total amount raised on the night was $1,176.84. MSUM’s SAAC raised $588.42, and thanks to a match from Papa John’s of Fargo-Moorhead, the total ended at $1,176.84.

Members of the MSUM SAAC presented a check to Make-A-Wish’s Eli Koppenhaver on Wednesday during the Dragon women’s basketball game.

This annual fundraising initiative is spearheaded by NCAA Division II and the NSIC to raise money for Make-A-Wish through various events lead by SAAC.  Through the 2015-16 academic year, Division II as a whole has raised over $4.7 million toward granting the wishes of children with life threatening medical conditions, which equates to nearly 600 wishes (excerpt from Make-A-Wish and NCAA.org). The NSIC alone has raised $98,437.54 for Make-A-Wish since 2011.

There is still time to add to that total! You can give by clicking here.
