Planetarium Hosts 500+ at Stars of PBS

Saturday, Feb. 3, the MSUM Planetarium hosted its 4th annual Stars of PBS special event sponsored by Moore Engineering. The event saw 500+ attendees of families with small children. The day featured the planetarium show: One World, One Sky: Big Bird’s Adventure playing every 45 minutes throughout the day, several student organizations showing off their skills, Prairie Public and Moore Engineering doing activities, and the big draw: Sid the Science Kid.

This event is always well attended and the community looks forward to it each year. The STEM focus is a great way to spark little ones’ interest in the STEM fields. It was a great day had by all.

The MSUM Planetarium would like to especially thank all the student organizations: Wildlife Society, Society of Physics Students, Math Club and the Computer Science Coding Club for their presence. A special thank you to all the students, faculty, and staff who helped make this day possible. Thank you to the Prairie Public Education team for their continued support and enthusiasm for the event. And a huge thank you to Moore Engineering for sponsoring the event so everyone can come for free!
