Organization updates in Student Affairs and Enrollment Management and Academic Affairs
Interim Academic Affairs Vice President Marsha Weber and Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs Brenda Amenson-Hill have been gathering input on plans for changes in reporting lines for some administrative offices. The offices focus on student success and retention. The goal for Weber and Amenson-Hill has been to find ways to improve student recruitment and retention through structures that best support the needs of students.
The Career Development Center, Academic Support Center, First Year Programs, and Learning Communities will now report to Amenson-Hill until a new AVP for Student Success, who will report to Amenson-Hill, is hired. This change will not require additional positions or budget. We are reorganizing existing resources to accomplish our recruitment and retentions goals.
The position description for the existing AVP position within Academic Affairs is also being reviewed and we will share the plan when we have consulted with the individuals affected and finalized a plan.
