The student and faculty in the Paseka School of Business — Kelly La Venture (MBA candidate) and Wooyang Kim (Assistant Professor of Marketing) — have been accepted their coauthored paper in the 1st International Conference on Tourism Research 2018, and they will present this study at the conference.  The International Conference of Tourism will be held in Jyväskylä, Finland on March 22-23, 2018.

The study, entitled “A Case Study of Destination Promotion: The Perceived Value of Stakeholders toward Bemidji, Minnesota, USA,” aims to examine stakeholder perceptions of the visitor economy, economic impact, and destination promotion of the City of Bemidji as an example of the small-town tourism economy. This study provides some insights into key stakeholder decision-making and prioritization of marketing efforts and on how to coordinate these efforts with economic development initiatives.

We acknowledge that this study bases for the thesis of MBA program in the Paseka School of Business and thank for the thoughtful feedback from two professors: Ben Clapp and Peter Geib in the Department of Business Administration, Paseka School of Business, MSUM.
