Flores presents at Missouri Valley Economics Association meeting

Oscar Flores, Economics, presented two papers at the 54th annual meetings of the Missouri Valley Economics Association in Kansas City, MO. The first paper, co-written with Tonya Jo Hansen, Economics, presents initial results of a survey of MSUM Economics Alumni. Initial results indicate that 64% of Economics Alumni earn over $75,000 per year. In the second paper on student retention at MSUM, Flores finds that New Entering Freshman students who participate in Learning Communities have a higher probability of returning to MSUM than those who do not even after controlling for self-selection. Flores is a past president of the MVEA.
