School Psychology Professors, Dr. Dosch and Dr. Stewart, attend Americorps Reading Corps 2017 Institute

Dr. Mary Dosch and Dr. Lisa Stewart, faculty in the graduate program in School Psychology, attended the Americorps Reading and Math Corps Institute in August. Dr. Stewart also led training with MN PreK Reading Corps members.

Reading Corps combines the power of national service with literacy science to deliver proven approaches that help struggling learners transform into confident students — something that translates into all areas of their lives. Dosch and Stewart are consultants and Master Coaches supporting the Reading Corps model. Reading Corps serves children age 3 to grade 3 and is in over 12 states and 1,200 sites throughout the country. Many MSUM students have expanded their learning through service in Minnesota Reading Corps or North Dakota Reading Corps.
