Dr. Bodwin new Dean of the College of Science, Health and the Environment
Dr. Jeffrey Bodwin has accepted an offer to become the new Dean of the College of Science, Health, and the Environment.
Jeff earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Michigan in 2001 and joined MSUM in 2003. In 2011, he was elected Chair of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. During the 2014-15 academic year, Jeff served as Acting Dean of the College, and has served as Interim Dean since Summer 2016.
We had a large and impressive group of individuals seeking this position, and extend sincere thanks and congratulations to the CSHE dean search committee, along with Dean Lee, for their hard work in identifying an especially talented group of finalists. During the search process, it became clear that Dr. Bodwin has shown himself to be a strong and open leader who is well-prepared to lead the College and, through his thoughtful participation in the Provost’s Council and the Administrative Council, he has the vision to help lead the university as it faces challenges and makes strides to achieve its aspirations in the years ahead.
