Norwegian Folk Musician Visits MSUM

Fiddler Vidar Skrede will perform and talk about the art of the harding fiddle Friday, Dec. 9, at 7:30 p.m. in Fox Recital Hall in the Roland Dille Center for the Arts on the MSUM campus. The event is free and open to the public.
Skrede is a Nordic folk musician with a background in the traditional music from Rogaland, southwest of Norway. He has a master’s degree in Nordic folk music from the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm, and currently lives in Chicago as a freelance musician and composer on guitar, harding fiddle, fiddle and Greek bouzouki.
