Faculty Roundtable Sessions: ‘Diversity, Civility, and the 2016 Election’
Thursday, Nov. 17 | 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. | LI 124
Recent incidents both across the country and on our own campus demonstrate that our community is struggling to process the outcome and consequences of the 2016 election. How can we come together to support one another and point our students and community toward civil discourse, unity, and healing in the midst of deep ideological and social divides? How should we respond to incidents of incivility? How can we help our students (and ourselves) deal with feelings of fear and uncertainty?
The Interdisciplinary Center for Diversity and Social Justice and the Faculty Development Center are co-hosting Faculty Roundtable Discussions centered around these issues on Thursday, Nov. 17 between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. in the Faculty Development Center (LI 124).
Please stop by and participate in these facilitated conversations — you can come anytime and leave anytime during the two-hour block that we have set aside.
