CNSA Program Coordinator, Graduate Student Present at Conference

The Counseling and Student Affairs program’s Dr. David Paul, Program Coordinator, and Leah Trontvet, Graduate Student, presented “Studying Abroad: Graduate Counseling Student Perspectives” at the 2016 Minnesota College Professionals Association Fall Conference on Nov. 4, 2016, in Duluth, Minn.

Studying Abroad opportunities are life-changing experiences for college students. Research indicates that student participation positively correlates with higher GPAs and increased program completion rates. This presentation demonstrated how multi-cultural environments impacted graduate students’ experiences this past May 2016, while on a short-term study abroad trip to Peru in South America.
