The Art of the Startup
Thursday, Sept. 1 | 4-5:15 p.m. | Langseth Hall 104
The Center for Entrepreneurial Studies presents the 2016-2017 First Thursday Series featuring The Art of the Startup. Guest speakers include Lindsay Breuler and Michael Ryan Norton. Admission is free but reservations are required.
As Emerging Prairie’s Event Coordinator, Lindsay Breuler brings added excitement and new ideas toward connecting and celebrating the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Fargo-Moorhead. After recently organizing the successful Drone Focus Conference in June and aiding in TEDxFargo, she has her sights set on the first annual CART Summit this September. This Ohio native has hit the ground running since arriving in Fargo including serving as an adjunct instructor at North Dakota State University, organizing the ND state 4-H equine contests and starting her own freelance grant services company.
After nearly a year of exploring entrepreneurial communities and facilitating 27 Startup Weekend events across the U.S. and Canada, Michael Ryan Norton has found a home in the FM area. This past June he settled into the Fargo Startup House. The former San Diego and Seattle resident began connecting with the movers and shakers of local industry, government, and education. He has encouraged collaboration between budding entrepreneurs, established business relations with upstart organizations, and is working on several projects of his own, all within just a few short months.
