Student Activities Budget Committee Opportunity

College is full of opportunities to branch out and to excel oneself. If you are looking for an opportunity to #GetConnected and #GetInvolved, Student Senate is looking for members like you to serve on the Student Activities Budget Committee (SABC). SABC annually coordinates the process for the development of student organization budgets, reviews requests and monitors SABC reserves. If you are a student organization officer, serving on SABC can provide an inside look about how budgeting for campus organizations works.

Serving on the SABC is a committed position, but it is also very rewarding and a resume builder. You do not need to be an accounting major either, SABC is for all students with a diverse backgrounds. One of SABC’s main purposes is to make an overall budget request through the SAFRC process and to make student organization budget allocation recommendations to Student Senate.

The make up of SABC will consist of the Student Senate Treasurer (Chair), nine students, the Assistant Dircetor of Leadership and Organizations, and the Activities Business Manager. If you serve on SABC, make sure you are free Tuesdays from 3-5pm as this will be SABC’s meeting times this year.

If you are interested in serving on SABC this year, please contact Student Senate Treasurer Alex Tollefson at tollefsoal@mnstate.edu.
