Dean of Online and Extended Learning Campus Interviews
Two finalists for the Dean of Online and Extended Learning have been invited to campus for interviews.
The second finalist, Dr. Leslie Balsiger, will be on campus April 18 and 19. Dr. Balsiger’s Open Forum will be held on Monday, April 18 a 12 (noon) in Center for Business 105. All members of the campus community are invited to the open forum.
Dr. Leslie Balsiger is currently the Director of the Center for Learning Technologies at Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne, Wyoming. In this role, Dr. Balsiger supervises instructional design staff, provides leadership and day to day management of online education, insures that best practices of online education are followed, works on improving learning technology, and chairs a campus-wide committee on learning technologies. From 2003-2010, Dr. Balsiger was at Eastern Oregon University where he served as Director of Student Access/Fire Science Online Degree Program (2008-2010) and Director of Student Relations/Marketing in Distance Education (2004-2007). Dr. Balsiger earned a Juris Doctorate from Gonzaga University School of Law and a B.S. in Liberal Studies from Eastern Oregon University.
