Displaying Midterm Grades
It’s difficult to believe that we have reached Midterm for most courses for the current semester. My how time flies. You may be ready for the next portion of the semester leading up to finals but are your students? Are they aware of where they stand in the course at this particular point in time?
An easy way to let your students see their current grade is to create a Calculated grade item in D2L Brightspace. Using a Calculated grade item, you can release a cumulative score which includes only those assignments that have been completed and graded at this time.
Use one of the following tutorials for instructions on how to set up a Calculated grade item. The tutorials differ by the type of gradebook you are using:
- Points gradebook (Calculated Grades-PointsGradebook)
- Weighted gradebook (Calculated Grades-WeightedGradebook)
