Great Basketball, 1000 Free T-shirts, Win a Car Contest, Red Out and MORE at Fill the Fieldhouse this Saturday
MSUM Dragon Athletics’ sixth annual Fill the Fieldhouse on Saturday, February 6th is aiming to break the all-time attendance record at Nemzek Fieldhouse with a free car for a year, 1,000 t-shirts, and a great basketball matchup against the Augustana Vikings.
Starting at 4:00pm with the NSIC North No. 1 ranked Dragon women, Fill the Fieldhouse gets a jump-start with 1,000 red t-shirts that will be offered at the entrance in hopes to create a full Red Out atmosphere in Nemzek. Shirts are provided by Valley Imports, Valley Pre-Owned, Valley Reconditioning, and Advanced Auto Body & Glass and will be available starting at 3:30pm.
At halftime of the women’s game, the Take a Free Ride finals begin where all the qualifiers from throughout the year and some randomly drawn fans in attendance that night will compete to win for a free car for a year from Fill the Fieldhouse sponsor Valley Imports. Also bringing attention to the women’s game is the Triple Threat halftime contest where three fans will have three chances to win $5,000.
Starting at 6:00pm, the men’s game features the currently nationally ranked No. 3 Dragons against the No. 1 ranked Vikings in a rematch of the 2015 NSIC Tournament Championship game. Although the Vikings won the last two matchups in Sioux Falls over the Dragons, MSUM eventually passed Augustana in the NCAA National Tournament reaching the Elite 8 for the first time in school history.
