Dragon Mentor Information Session for 2016-2017 Academic Year
Please encourage any students that you may interact with to apply to become a Dragon Mentor if you think they would be a great role model for other students. The Dragon Mentors serve students who participate in Learning Communities. Students of all majors are eligible to apply. Applications can be found on Dragon Jobs. The deadline to apply is February 12, 2016.
Qualifications:
-Dragon Mentors must have completed at least one year at MSUM.
-Must live on campus in the building where the Learning Community you are hired for is placed.
-Open to all majors, but hiring preference is given to students with the same majors as the major based Learning Communities. *Note we have several communities that are not major based.
-GPA of applicant taken into consideration because of the academic focus of this position.
-Must be available to begin position on 8/10/2014 and attend training prior to the start of classes.
Compensation:
-$1250 stipend per semester
-Pay a double room rate, yet live in it as a single
-Attend numerous events and socials with mentees for free
-Opportunity to develop leadership skills
