New Rivers Press publishes books selected as finalists for the Minnesota Book Awards

Two books published in 2015 by New Rivers Press,the on-campus literary press, have been selected as finalists for the prestigious Minnesota Book Awards, sponsored by The Friends of the St. Paul Public Library. Finalists are selected from authors and presses from across Minnesota. Minneapolis native Rachel Coyne’s novel Patron Saint of Lost Comfort Lake, which New Rivers published last spring, is a finalist in the Novel/Short Story Collection category. Julie Gard, from Duluth, is nominated in the Poetry category for her collection Home Studies, which came out in October. Winners will be announced at the Gala Awards Ceremony in April.
