Dr. Ted Gracyk to present colloquium on “Music and Imagination”

Dr. Ted Gracyk from the Philosophy Department will be presenting a colloquium on “Music and Imagination” on Wednesday, February 10, at 4:30 p.m. in MacLean Hall 167.

For centuries, people have claimed that art and music stir the imagination. But is this true? Given current understanding of the nature of imagination, it is difficult to establish the necessity of imaginative engagement when listening to music. All are welcome to attend.
