Department of Physics and Astronomy professor Matt Craig gave a talk titled “Widgets and Astropy: Accomplishing Productive Research with Undergraduates” and organized the Astropy code sprint at the 14th Annual SciPy conference. SciPy is devoted to applications of the computer language python to a wide area of physical, social and data sciences.
Steve Lindaas, Physics and Astronomy, along with students Jared Saunders and Isaac Skalsky attended the American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT) summer conference last week. The conference was held at the University of Maryland.
