International partnerships goal of South Korea, China delegation
A team of MSUM faculty, administrators and staff leave Dec. 1 for meetings with high schools and universities in South Korea and China for the purpose of partnership-building and bringing new students to MSUM. The delegation includes Jack Healy, Randy Cagle, Denise Gorsline, Zhimin Guan, Peter Geib, Dan Brekke, and Janet Hohenstein.
The trip will include visits to the Seoul National University of Education, a K-12 organization and universities in Bejing, Shanghai, Xi’an, and Guilin. The delegation will return Dec. 14.
“These visits will be made to institutions that have already expressed a desire to enter into partnerships with us that would allow their students to complete a portion of their studies at MSUM,” said Provost Joe Bessie. “I believe there is opportunity for significant and relatively quick results with students from these institutions coming here as early as Fall 2016.”
The group will also meet with alumni, as time permits. If you have any suggestions of alumni the group should contact, please send that information to Denise Gorsline.
