The Dragons forced a punt late and got the ball with :28 left and no time outs left, trailing 28-24.
Jake Hodge connected with Damon Gibson for gains of 39 and 40 yards.
Then with four seconds left on the clock, Hodge’s pass to Gibson was tipped into the hands of fellow Dragon wide receiver Cory Ambrose who caught the pass in the corner of the endzone to give the Dragons an improbable victory.
It’s the first time the Dragons have started a season 2-0 since 2006.
