Learn more about MPIRG
The Minnesota Public Interest Research Group (MPIRG) is a student directed nonpartisan, nonprofit that organizes students around environmental, economic, and social justice. Since 1971, MPIRG has raised the student voice in the democratic process in the interest of the public.
In the last year alone students from Moorhead have met with local legislators and Governor Dayton to urge them to support initiatives such as renewable energy, felon voting rights restoration, affirmative consent, and much more.
If you’re interested in working in nonprofits, or want get experience in policy making and community organizing, MPIRG is a great introduction.
