STARS (Systemwide Training and Registration Site) Transitions to ELM (Enterprise Learning Management)
The current system used by MnSCU for employees enrollment and tracking of training, STARS (Systemwide Training and Registration Site), will be going away as of June 30, 2015. STARS will no longer be used after this date for enrollment, however, you can access the system to see your training history up until Sept 1, 2015. MnSCU will be pulling all records out of STARS and they will be placed in the replacement system as historical data. You do not need to worry about retrieving your records.
The replacement system is called ELM, Enterprise Learning Management. ELM is a tool for planning, scheduling, delivering, tracking and reporting on learning activities such as: training, e-learning, on-the-job training, independent assignments, testing and survey results. It is a built-in feature of the State’s SWIFT (Peoplesoft, SEMA4) system for comprehensive tracking and reporting of state employee training. MnSCU, and other state agencies, are moving to ELM to comply with federal and state reporting/tracking guidelines for all employees. Employees (and the employees manager) will register for courses and have access to their individual training record through the State’s self-service site. This system is already active and being utilized for select training opportunities.
You can access ELM via the Employee Self-Service website. Quick Reference Guides are located on the Human Resources page under Resources & Links > Other Links.
