MSU Moorhead commencement ceremonies will be broadcast live for the first in the school’s history Friday, May 15 on WDAY’Z Extra.
“Commencement is one of our most meaningful ceremonies so we thought we should share it with the greater community,” said Denise Gorsline, dean of the university college. “Not only will we broadcast both the 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. commencement ceremonies in their entireties, but we will also have hour-long pre-commencement programs with interviews, student videos and other content that will be anchored by MSUM alumna Lane Zyvoloski.”
Zyvoloski, a 2013 mass communication/media studies graduate, is WDAY’s First News anchor and producer.
Emily Beck, a 2006 film studies graduate and executive director of the Fargo Theatre Management Corp., will be the commencement speaker at both ceremonies.
The 10 a.m. ceremony features graduates from the Colleges of Education & Human Services; Science, Health & the Environment; and Graduate Studies. The 2 p.m. ceremony features graduates from the Colleges of Arts, Media & Communication; Business & Innovation; Humanities & Social Sciences; and Graduate Studies.
