A man who has left a lasting impact on Minnesota State University Moorhead was honored on Thursday. The university unveiled a plaque in honor of Charles Magel. He founded the school’s philosophy department in 1963.
Graphic design student Sierra Fosness won a prestigious international design award at the Annual International Design Awards (IDA) earlier this week. Fosness was awarded the First Prize Gold Award in the poster subcategory of the student print competition for her entry, titled “Human Rights Project.”
Yolanda Lara Arauza, Department of History, Languages, Critical Race, and Women’s Studies, presented a paper at the Organization of American Historians Annual Meeting, April 16-20, in St. Louis, Missouri. Arauza’s paper, based on oral history interviews, outlined the experiences of Mexican Americans living in the shadow of the Enemy Alien Internment Camps during World War II.
