MSUM students won awards at AAF-ND event in February
Several MSUM students received recognition from the North Dakota chapter of the American Advertising Federation (AAF-ND) at an awards ceremony in Fargo in February.
Advertising students Kaylee Hanowski and Taylor Peterson won a Gold Addy for “Big Muddy Lager,” a radio ad they created. Hanowski won for the copy and Peterson won for the voice work. Hanowski also won a Silver Addy as the designer and copywriter for her “Big Muddy Lager Branding Campaign”
Jordan Maahs, communication studies, won a Silver Addy as the writer, cinematographer, editor and narrator for single television commercial for “LARL.”
Graphic design student John Wander won a Silver Addy for “Tools4School,” a television campaign he created.
Graphic design students Katie Jarvis & Andrea Dacar received the AAF-ND Achievement Award and the Larry Gauper Advertising Creativity Scholarship.
AAF-ND Gold ADDY winners proceed to the 8th District competition, and Gold winners there go on to the national finals.
AAF-ND is one of 210 local affiliates of the American Advertising Federation, a nonprofit industry association, and a member of the 8th District (clubs from Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin).
