RAD (Rape. Aggression. Defense.) training taught to MSUM faculty, staff and Public Safety officers this week

Some MSUM faculty and staff members and MSUM Public Safety officers, along with three attendees from NDSU and one from M State, have been receiving self-defense training from RAD officers.

RAD stands for Rape. Aggression. Defense. The last day of this three-day course is today and has been training faculty, staff and officers how to teach RAD courses to students. It is a defensive course aimed at the female population and teaches self-defense techniques and tactics.

“The mission of the R.A.D. Systems is to establish an accessible, constantly
improving and internationally respected alliance of dedicated Instructors. These
Instructors in turn, will provide educational opportunities for women, children, men
and seniors to create a safer future for themselves. In doing this, we challenge society
to evolve into an existence where violence is not an acceptable part of daily life.”
