Renovation Update – Bidding Process Complete!
We continue to take steps toward the transformational renovation of the student union – and with each step we get more and more excited. The bidding process for the project is complete and we are feeling really good about the result, because with the total of the bids, our project came in under budget! Knowing this, we will be able to accomplish all of the priorities identified by students and stakeholders throughout our design planning process.
With the bidding complete, we are ready to move into the final stages of contracting to make the renovation and addition a reality. We will proceed with contracts following the bond sale, which will take place in late February/early March.
We will continue conversations about temporary/transitional locations for offices and services with students and staff as the spring continues. As we arrive at a plan for transitional locations and access to spaces, we will do our best to make sure the campus community is informed. Your student union will continue to serve you during the construction phase of the project.
