Apple has already released two updates to remediate issues
Faculty/Staff –
Last October Apple released OS X 10.10 “Yosemite” via the Mac App Store. As previously communicated, the Information Technology department has been performing tests to confirm the supported services are working as designed. Apple has already released two updates to remediate these issues without complete success. From our testing and validation, it appears the email issues have been repaired but the testing and recent web posts have revealed that wireless issues are still present. We will continue to test and validate all of the issues documented as Apple releases the next update, which we hope will resolve the issues completely, but there is no estimate when that is expected. At this time we are recommending that the campus community hold off on this upgrade until updates have resolved all the known issues that could impact those services you use. Information Technology will continue to track Apple’s progress and communicate with the campus community by the end of March 2015 to keep you updated on that progress.
When will I be able to upgrade?
After the MSUM IT department has completed its testing and confirmed that those services and applications are working as designed, we will send a communication out informing of that.
What if I don’t know how to upgrade?
The communication informing of the completion of the testing will also include information on how you can contact the Helpdesk to start that process.
