Two Theatre Arts events feature all-student work

An original student production titled “Ben and Trish” takes the Gaede Stage Saturday at 7:30 p.m. The play was written by Michael Johnson and directed by Nora Flaherty. Elliott Heerman and Emily Carlson play the roles of Ben and Trish. Original music was composed by Heerman. All are Theatre Arts majors. The play follows a brother and sister examining their childhood memories together, seeking to rebuild their estranged relationship. Tickets are $7 for adults; $5 for students and seniors. On Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in Hansen Theatre, the Theatre Arts Department presents a winter showcase of dance featuring work of student dancers and choreographers. These “works in progress” will be a sampling of dance pieces in various stages of completion, and will feature work from Dance I, Ballet I, and Dance Production. The performance is free.
