Janet Haak returns from two-week Fulbright Seminar for International Education Administrators in Germany

Janet Haak, Director of Study Abroad, just returned from a two-week Fulbright Seminar for International Education Administrators in Germany. The group visited numerous universities in Berlin, Leipzig, and Mainz, and Haak participated in a small-group site visit to the Bauhaus University in Weimar. She also networked with participants from across the United States, and met with a Fulbright group who completed a similar program in France. Sponsored by the United States Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, the Fulbright Program provides funding for students, scholars, teachers, and professionals to undertake graduate study, advanced research, university teaching, and teaching in elementary and secondary schools.

Five American university administrators visited the Bauhaus-Universitat Weimar in October to find out more about the strategic internationalization of the university. During their visit, they had the opportunity to have an intellectual exchange with President Karl Beucke (left) in the Gropius Room. Photo: Thomas Muller.
