Combined Charities Annual Campaign Update

The annual State of Minnesota Employees Combined Charities Campaign runs through October 31.  This year you will need to enter your own payroll deduction information on the Employee Self-service website or complete a One-Time gift form.  Human Resources can assist with that process, but will not be able to enter your pledge for you, as was the case in the past.

By now you most likely have received your packet of information from one of our 40 faculty and staff volunteers. While the form you received indicates the option of having Human Resources enter your payroll deduction pledge for you, we will not be able to do that this year. Instead, please enter your own payroll deduction information on the Employee Self-Service website at www.state.mn.us/employees.  Just go to the Self-service website (where you get your payroll information) and click on “Other Payroll” and then “Charitable Deductions.” If you pledged last year, that deduction will be visible.  You will need to “Add Deduction” to enter your pledge for the coming year (consider adding a dollar or two or five!).  In order to keep track of how we are doing as a campus, we would greatly appreciate it if you would still return your paper pledge form to HR noting the amount of your pledge (your name is optional).

The other alternative is to write a one-time check using the one-time check form (or contact Sara Graff in HR at -2157).  Don’t let a few extra steps keep you from joining other Dragons in showing our support for our communities.

For more information about this year’s Combined Charities Campaign go to the FAQ page at: http://mn.gov/mmb/combined-charities/emplgiving/faqemp/ .  For campus questions or assistance with your pledge, contact a member of the MSUM Campaign Committee: Sara Graff, Peg Potter or Andy Scott.

Thank you to our campus volunteers and to those of you who have already made your pledge for the coming year!
