Oxford University Press has requested permission to use a portion of the story “Uncovering the history behind collecting” from volume 4 of Horizonline.org, Inside Collecting, for inclusion in an Oxford University Press publication. The text will be used as part of a language-learning exercise in a workbook titled Cambridge English First Masterclass Workbook by Simon Haines and Barbara Stewart. This is a workbook with audio to help students prepare for the Cambridge English: First exam from 2015 onwards.

The author of the story is Diane Fricke, a 2007 graduate with a major in East Asian Studies. Reggie Radniecki, associate professor of mass communications, is the creator and instructor for the online journalism workshop that produces the online magazine.

With origins dating back to 1478, Oxford University Press is the world’s largest university press with the widest global presence. Their Global Academic Publishing program spans the entire academic and higher education spectrum, including a wide array of scholarly and general interest books, journals, and online products.
