Free admission to Museum for Veterans during Veterans Day Weekend
The Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County, the organization that runs the museum at the Hjemkomst Center, invites all veterans to visit the museum for free on Sunday, Nov. 10, 12-5 p.m. and Monday, Nov. 11, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. for Veterans Day. All active military service men/women and their families get in free throughout the year as well.
Regular museum admission for non-veterans is $8 for adults, $7 for senior citizens and college students, $6 for youths 5-17, and free for those under 5.
The Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County collects, preserves, interprets, and shares the history and culture of Clay County, Minnesota. HCSCC also provides interpretation of the Hjemkomst Viking Ship, Hopperstad Stave Church Replica, and hosts traveling exhibits in 7,000 sq. feet of temporary exhibition space.
