Christiansen and Zepper present at The University of South Dakota

Professors’ Ryan C. Christiansen, MFA, and Kevin Zepper, MFA, will present at the John R. Milton Conference at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, South Dakota, Oct. 31–Nov. 2.

Christiansen is the Publisher & CEO for Knuckledown Press LLC, which publishes literary fiction and creative nonfiction titles in English for worldwide distribution in electronic formats. Christiansen teaches English part-time at Minnesota State University Moorhead, North Dakota State College of Science, and North Dakota State University, and he is the Associate Editor for the Electronic Book Series at New Rivers Press. He is an experienced journalist and technical writer.

Zepper is an Associate Professor of English. He has published four chapbooks of poetry, his most recent being Sugartown (Finishing Line Press, 2012). He is currently involved with a Narrative Therapy writer’s group with Dr. Lora Bertelson and Rachel Daigle. Previously, Zepper was a writing and literature instructor in the Corrick Center for General Education, an alternative entry program for students with a low class ranking or low GPA. He lives with his family in Moorhead.

Professor Christianson will present twice at the conference:

Love and Death in the West: Ekphrastic Writing and the Portrait of Billy the Kid.

Commemoration through publication: How western authors and publishers keep the American West alive.

Zepper will read prose poetry as part of a creative presentation.
