Socio-enviromental case study workshop – part 1

Join one of the Faculty Development Associate teams Friday (tomorrow) from 8:30-9:45 a.m. in the Faculty Development Center, and hear about the Minnesota wolf hunt case study they developed and are piloting in two classes this fall.

This team (Teresa Shume, School of Teaching and Learning/Biosciences; Steve Lindaas, Physics and Astronomy; Shawn Garret, Chemistry; and Alison Wallace, Biosciences) would like to invite faculty to co-develop one or two more case studies this fall. Topics being considered are tracking and flooding. A publication is also being planned, as the team was invited to submit their work to the Journal of College Science Teaching when they were at their summer case study workshop at The National Socio-Environmental Synthesis Center. Others are welcome to join this effort.
